The Royal Shakespeare Company post stamps

These post stamps are amazingly beatiful and they were released today celebrating the 50 years of the Sheakspeare Royal Company.  The stamps feature images of David Tennant as Hamlet, Anthony Sher as Prospero, Chuk Iwuji as Henry VI, Paul Schofield as King Lear, Sara Kestleman as Titania, Ian McKellen and Francesca Annis as Romeo and Juliet.  The design is remarkable, specially because of the expresive hand made typography used in them.  Check them out (and purchase them) at the Royal Mail.

      Make it Better

So, like all of you who read this blog (maybe) know, almost all my inspiration and the things I post, I find them in the Behance Network.  This is not an exception and is a little piece that I found a few weeks ago.  Is a little animation called Make it Better and the message is to try harder to make the things you do everyday.  So, because the portfolio where I found it says so, I’m just spreading the word.

By the way, I found the video here.

      Waiting for Superman animated trailer

This is a piece of animation that I found made in Argentina by Sol Linero.  This is some kind of trailer for an upcoming film called Waiting for Superman.  I just love the style of tha animation; the music and the narration and I hope you like it too.

Amazing and shocking photos by Danielle Tunstall

Danielle Tunstall is a photographer from England.  Her style is very agressive, and her photos are just amazing.  She makes portraits of people with plain backgrounds, so the attention is in the subject. Her work is all about critiques; trying to show the human race as it is: raw, strange, dark and sometimes very very rude.  Her amazing work can be seen at http://www.danielletunstall.com/

      Cours Toujours

Cours Toujours – animation short film from Cours Toujours Team on Vimeo.

This is an awesome animation I found from a french animation team called Cours Toujours. The music is very fast paced and is without a doubt one of the best animated short films I have seen lately. I hope you enjoy it

      A more useful pencil

This awesome pencil was designed by Alexander Hulme.  It’s clip is fashioned by a simple CNC router slot cut into the top of the pencil, that makes it easy to put it on your shirt pocket.  Simply genious.

      The art of Zach Johnsen

Zach Johnsen is an artist and illustrator from Portland Oregon.  His work is mostly about human figures.  His work with clothes and fabrics and splashes of color with gray figures, make a very good contrast.
This is a very interesting way to see the modern art, because he is not a museum kind of artist.  He also has collaborated with brands like ecko and Mountain Dew.

His work can be seen in his more artistic site or in his more commercial site.

      Le Royaume

Le Royaume is a french short animated film that I found in You tube.  The animation work is awesome, and combined with the music and the sound effects, it’s a truly master piece.

The story is about a little Beaver who starts to work for an errant king who gives it an axe to chop trees in order to build a huge castle. But everything starts to go wrong when the little beaver gets to excited about the task.
